A word
"Only the Illuminated One
who keeps seducing the formless into form
had the charm to win my heart.
Only a Perfect One
who is always laughing at the word two
can make you know
of love."
This ink flows from my pen and my thoughts like blood, spilling onto a page with divine intention. The inky drops trickle and stream to form an image on the way to some unseen yet conscious sea. I follow the lines until they meet something familiar, some memory of a past, or of some future to be. Then this hand, this heart, this spirit creates (with you) something that connects. It has to. We are all drops heading in our own way to the sea.
The time for this is now. The time for something extraordinary is now. The time for us to stop hiding our magnificence is now. Its time to live into what you came here for. This moment we share, me through writing this, through the images on this site, and you wherever you are now reading these words, seeing these images, truly is all we have. Let it in. Again and again. As my friend Hafiz says,
"This is the time for you to deeply compute the impossibility that there is anything but Grace."
Artfully yours,

What is the Divine Line?
During the Renaissance a rediscovery of the masterful techniques of Greek and Roman sculpture caused a revolution in the world of art. In a region of Italy that was roughly a couple hundred square miles, some of the most luminous names in history blossomed and flourished- Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Donatello, Titian, Bernini and a host of others. The influence behind many of these amazing artists was a single teacher, Verrochio. Andrea del Verrochio taught something that has since faded into the fog of history. He taught of the line that runs from the center of the earth, through every animate object and straight up to the heavens themselves.
This was the line of fire or the Divine Line that not only shifts with ones weight as they move, but it is driven by their very thoughts. He taught that you first start with that line of intention that spirals up the form of every living thing, it ties the physical to the intentional; it links in an imaginary golden cord the body to the mind and the spirit. Any work of art that did not start with this divine line was only a castle built of sand, destined to be washed away by the tides of time.
The lasting genius of those transcendent artists testify to the eternal value of this Divine Line that runs through us all.

He is currently doing the visual development and concept art for several large scale fantasy film and game projects. These delicious endeavors require Dave’s skill in graphic design, character design, environmental design and story development. Dave’s novel “Forgive This Dream,” a fictional story filled with Dave’s interpretations of the divine energies of the Hindu gods will be published at the end of 2011. Dave lives with his wife Robin and their daughter Grace on a small ranchette in the horse country of Chatsworth, California.
